Author Bae: Multi-Time Best Selling Author

Thank you so much for joining us today, Shameka. Let's start by getting to know you a bit more. Can you share with our audience a little about yourself?
Certainly! I was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi, always sensing that there was more to life beyond my immediate surroundings. Writing has been a constant in my life since childhood, serving as a therapeutic escape through journaling. Whenever I felt overwhelmed or needed an outlet, putting pen to paper became my refuge.
It's incredible how writing can be such a powerful form of self-expression. Now, let's delve into your latest work. Can you tell us more about your book, "Heal HER: A 15 Day Journey from Pain to Promise"?
Absolutely. "Heal HER" is a collaborative effort where I share my personal journey as a survivor of domestic violence. It's the first time I've opened up about that part of my life, aiming to shed light on the struggles many women face behind closed doors.
That's truly courageous of you to share such a personal story. What inspired you to write this book?
I realized that countless women are silently suffering, and I wanted my story to be a beacon of hope for them. I hope it encourages them to speak up about their situations and seek the help they need.
Your journey is undoubtedly inspiring. How has becoming an author impacted your life, and what lessons have you learned along the way?
Being an author has connected me with so many like-minded individuals who share a passion for helping others through literature. I've learned not to hold back and to release what's on my heart, as I never know who needs to read my works.
Overcoming the fear of sharing such personal experiences must have been challenging. How did you manage to overcome that fear, especially when it comes to having others share their opinions about your stories?
I had to understand that I answer to God at the end of the day. Many people are in bondage because they fear sharing their experiences, and I believe sharing our stories not only liberates us but also those who are meant to read them.
Wise words. What advice would you offer to aspiring authors based on your own journey?
Keep writing. Write as if you're writing for the Lord, because you are. Don't let fear paralyze you, and don't be discouraged by the opinions you receive. Be that light and hope for others. Do not put that pen down.
Powerful advice. Finally, how can supporters connect with you, and do you have any upcoming events or programs?

Absolutely! Supporters can follow me on Facebook at  www.facebook.com/Shameka.Nicole332, on Instagram at instagram.com/called2write and instagram.com/redeemed_restored. My publishing company's website is www.thecalledtowrite.com, and you can reach me via email at info@thecalledtowrite.com.

Awesome. You’re definitely an inspiration. I follow silently and don’t say much, but I peep how much work you put into what you do.

The Royal Priest

I think this was a wonderful interview. She is definitely driving to add more positive Godly influence into the world. I pray she continues to shift P.O.V’s as she continues to shred light in dark place with her work, company, influence, and spirit!
