Author Bae: Guiding Men to Spiritual Maturity and Purpose
Share
JV, could you share more about your book, "Becoming A Son"?
Absolutely! "Becoming A Son" is more than just a book; it's a guide that takes you on a journey towards spiritual maturity as a man of God. It's designed to walk you through the Anatomy of a Man illustration, chapter by chapter, and how it aligns with the three phases of development: Babe in Christ, Child of God, and Son of God. The book highlights the significance of each body part in the spiritual and natural realm, revealing how they serve in different stages of development. After reading this book, you'll not only understand the process but know how to transition from being a babe in Christ to a mature Son of God.
What inspired you to write this book?
The inspiration came from a deep sense of empathy. I grew up in the faith, surrounded by believers who had a desire to please God but didn't have the guidance to mature in their faith. It broke my heart to see so many passionate believers unsure of how to grow spiritually. So, I decided to write this book, a call to become more. In a world facing countless challenges, we can't afford to remain spiritual babes or mere children of God.
How has becoming an author impacted your life, and what valuable lessons have you learned?
Becoming an author has been a life-changing journey. It required personal sacrifices and growth, but it was worth it. Writing the book opened doors to speaking engagements, reconnecting with covenant brothers, and even launching a podcast. Through this process, I've learned that God doesn't waste our pain and struggles. I've realized that if you trust God with what seems insignificant, He can bless, break, and multiply it in ways you can't imagine.
Overcoming the fear of writing and sharing your story can be a daunting challenge. How did you personally conquer that fear?
For me, it was about embracing my true self and becoming comfortable in my own skin. Once I achieved that, I felt a deep sense of freedom. I knew that sharing my book would bless others and encourage them to become the best version of themselves. It's that producer spirit in me – I'm driven to help everyone unlock their full potential.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors, drawing from your personal journey?
My advice is straightforward: start writing. Put one word in front of the other and stop overthinking it. Overthinking is like having a prolonged conversation with your inner opposition, and it can be paralyzing. Don't worry about the ending or whether it will become a bestseller; just start, and let the Lord handle the rest. Your unique perspective and story may be exactly what someone out there needs to hear.
What's on the horizon for you? Do you have upcoming events or ways for readers to connect with your work?
I'm excited to share that you can purchase a copy of "Becoming A Son" and the study guide at www.allthingsjv.com. If you're interested in joining the Brotherhood Academy, you can find all the registration information on the website as well.
Conclusion:
JV's journey is not just inspirational; it's an embodiment of faith, transformation, and growth. His book, "Becoming A Son," is a guiding light for those seeking spiritual maturity, and his message resonates with anyone on their journey of self-discovery and personal development. Your support can make a difference in the lives of many on their path to becoming the best version of themselves in the eyes of God.

Congrats brother! I have read the book and I can attest to the everything that JV said when describing the book content. JV did a great job of referencing the bible verses, yet breaking down the thoughts in everyday language. I thoroughly enjoyed the book! I finished the book in just a couple of sittings.
Wow.. what a great article! Like Dale, the comment on how overthinking is like having a prolonged conversation with your inner opposition hit home with me as well. JV has been a powerful inspiration to me as I continue to argue with my inner opposition. It’s awesome watching God work through him via Becoming A Son. Can’t wait to see what’s next for him!
